Page Gallery is pleased to present LANDSCAPE, an exhibition of paintings from T. Allen Lawson, Tom Curry, Ken DeWaard, Colin Page, Robert Pollien, Ray Roberts, Holden Willard.
Landscape painting has a long history in Maine, and can encompass everything from ocean and harbor views to rural farms and cluttered dooryards. The foundation for many landscape painters is working on location outdoors, responding to the light and atmospheric conditions of the day. Each artist in this exhibition brings their own interest to this open ended subject - the textures of the elements, an intense vibration of sunlight, the harmonious feeling of being in just the right spot, the charge of seeing something new and exciting in a place you know well.
A public opening reception will be held Thursday, May 15, 5-7pm.
