Dinner Party

It never matters that the tablecloth is old, the napkins and dishes mismatched, the chairs borrowed. Even the meal, a curated menu of courses paired with fine wines or bowls piled high with greens from the garden and peaches still warm from the sun, matters less than the hands gathered to share it. The table anchors us, invites us to settle in and linger, to bump elbows, share stories and deepen into connection.
