Bio

Ben Breda (b. 1985) is knifemaker from Hope, Maine. He began making knives in 2012, and earned his American Bladesmith Society Journeyman rating in 2014. He is working towards his ABS Master Smith.

In 2014, Ben Breda won the prestigious George Peck Award for the best knife submitted by a Journeyman Smith Candidate at the Atlanta Blade Show judging.

Ben Breda has a home forge and studio in Hope, Maine, where he hand forges his blades from high carbon steel and Damascus. Breda's blades are known for their artistry and ergonomic design. He makes every kind of fixed and folding blade of his own design. His grinds feature the symmetry that gives his blades clean lines. Breda's knives are incredibly well balanced, and work as an extension of your hand.

Page Gallery is featuring a series of Ben Breda's kitchen knives, made with high carbon steel and Damascus, and exhibition grade natural handle materials.
