Timo Foster (b. 1983) is a woodworker and maker based in Rockport, Maine. Born in Villanova, Pennsylvania, he studied Industrial Design at Rhode Island School of Design, and moved to Maine to sail. His designs are known for their unique combination of craftsmanship, functionality and artistic aesthetics. Foster builds boats, homes, treehouses, furniture, tools, and a diverse range of everyday design objects. His work is driven by utility and heavily influenced by his natural surroundings, both in his material choices and in the practicality of the work to his life in rural Maine. Foster's designs are always simple, functional, and elegant.
