Tim Conte was born in the suburbs of Chicago. He earned his BFA from Indiana University and his MFA from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He served as Visiting Professor of Fine Arts at Arizona State University, and taught Drawing and Painting at Drexel University and the Community College of Philadelphia. Tim co-founded a small, informal Artist’s residency in Umbria, Italy. Today, Tim lives and works in the mid-coast area of Maine in a former Cannery warehouse with his family. He teaches drawing at the University of Maine and runs a weekly life drawing session at Waterfall Arts.
